ISTANBUL (TR) - Turkey's leading e-commerce infrastructure company ıdeasoft every year during the "Kobe E-Commerce Report" published a study titled. According to the report, more than 3 million orders were submitted from more than 6.500 virtual stores in 2017; one of every 3 orders was carried out via mobile devices. In the report prepared to shed light on the e-commerce processes of SMEs, when the online orders were analyzed according to their timings, it was seen that the users preferred to shop online between 14.00 - 16.00 hours. Autumn was the most ordered season, while summer was the most stagnant season of online shopping.
Lider Marmara Region
The most preferred area of online shopping is Marmara Region with 55,5%, Central Anatolia with 16,4%, Aegean Region with 12,2%, Mediterranean with 8,2%, Black Sea with 4,1%, 1,5% followed by Eastern Anatolia and Eastern Anatolia with 1.5%. 49.4% of online orders are from Istanbul. It was followed by Ankara with 10,6%, Izmir with 7,6% and Bursa with 3,6%.
Increasingly demanding to pay at the door
In terms of payment options, 68% of shoppers bought a credit card, while 19% chose to pay at the door and 9% used the money order / EFT. While 31.7% of those shopping with credit cards used Garanti Bank cards, 22.5% preferred Yapı Kredi, 14.2% Akbank and 12.7% İşbank. In online shopping, 45.1% of credit card users chose 2 or 3 installments, 14.5% 6 installments and 12.4% 9 installments.
4 out of 10 orders are moved free of charge
According to the cargo company preferences, 34% of the orders are made by Aras, 27% by domestic, 14% by MNG and 11% by Speed Cargo. 62% of the orders were shipped and 38% of them were moved free of charge.
