With the increasing awareness of sustainability, motorcycle enthusiasts have started to prefer electric vehicles. The new generation electric global motorbike brand has brought a breath of fresh air to the Turkish market in this direction. The brand, which sells its environmentally friendly motorcycles, which are also used in Italy's local police force, offers a user-friendly driving experience with low maintenance needs.
TURKEY - The electric car trend, which emerged with the increase in environmental awareness day by day, has now started to be seen in two-wheeled vehicles. According to data from MotorCyclesData, a research company that tracks monthly sales of all brands and models in more than 80 markets, almost 10 million sales of two-wheelers were recorded globally last year, while Turkey, which achieved a 290% increase in sales, stood out as the seventh largest market in the European region. Following this trend in Turkey, TALARIA, a new generation motorcycle brand, announced that they have entered the Turkish market with their engines, which are also used in Italy's local police force.
Stating that new generation electric motorcycles are preferred all over the world due to their environmental friendliness and low maintenance requirements, TALARIA Turkey Regional Manager Ahmet Bolat said: ‘We are happy to enter the Turkish market with these new generation vehicles that have advantages such as comfortable driving, high performance and efficient energy use. We are assertive that our products, which are popular all over the world, will attract the same interest in Turkey.’
‘Today, with the increase in environmental awareness, it is predicted that petrol engines will be completely replaced by electric engines in the near future,’ said Ahmet Bolat, TALARIA Turkey Regional Manager, and listed the advantages of electric engines as follows: ‘Electric motors can operate with energy types such as solar and wind energy, which are more easily available compared to oil. It does not require dependency like petrol. The charging cost of electric motorbikes is generally lower than fossil fuel costs. As it is equipped with the latest technologies, it improves the driving experience and increases safety.’
Emphasising that electric motors perform much better than petrol engines thanks to the serial speed change, Ahmet Bolat said, ‘Electric motors produce maximum power from the first movement to the final acceleration thanks to their high torque production. At the same time, it has a controllable and effective brake structure thanks to its magnetic braking feature. In short, electric engines can accelerate and decelerate much faster than conventional petrol engines. Since there are fewer parts that need to be replaced and repaired compared to petrol vehicles, maintenance and repair costs are also lower.’
TALARIA Turkey Regional Manager Ahmet Bolat concluded his evaluations as follows:
‘TALARIA's motorbikes are produced with intensive R&D studies. Our brand combines the latest electrical technology and modern production processes. It develops high-tech vehicles that are efficient, agile and exciting to drive. Impressed by these features, the local police organisation in Abuzzi, Italy and the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment in the UK have also included TALARIA in their equipment. Our motorcycles, which have a worldwide reputation, are used in approximately 220 countries.’
