The business world is taking important steps to contribute to the transition to a more sustainable economy and a more livable world. Climpach, operating in the field of sustainability consultancy, continues its "Siemens Business Partner Sustainability Journey" project at full speed. Siemens Business Partners in 10 different cities allocated 42 million TL resources to sustainability projects in 7 months, reducing the corporate carbon footprint of companies by 25%.
TURKEY - The business world is being reshaped with a more connected, data-oriented, accessible and sustainable 'eco-digital' model. According to statistics published by the World Economic Forum, investing in sustainability is becoming a priority for creating corporate value, with more than half (52%) of organisations planning to invest in sustainability this year. This trend contributes significantly to the transition to a more sustainable economy. Climpach, which provides sustainability consultancy services, continues its "Siemens Business Partner Sustainability Journey" project without slowing down in order to ensure that Siemens' business partners master the basic concepts and practices in the field of sustainability and monitor their performance.
Within the scope of the programme launched last year, the two companies bring together their expertise in the field of sustainability and help Siemens' business partners in 10 different cities to reduce their environmental impact and achieve their sustainability goals. Within the scope of the programme, the first phase of which is planned to be completed in October, the sustainability performances of Siemens business partners are regularly analysed and reported, supported by interactive workshops and online trainings, and continuous improvement is ensured through monthly evaluation meetings.
Climpach Co-Founder Alper Ali Tunca made the following statement about their project: "We are very proud to share the achievements we have achieved in the first 7 months of our 'Business Partner Sustainability Journey' project with Siemens. With this project, which is a first in Turkey in the field of sustainability, we support the important steps taken by Siemens' business partners to reduce their environmental impact and achieve their sustainability goals. While reinforcing our leadership in sustainability projects, we accelerate the steps we take for a greener and more livable world. The fact that the companies within the scope of the programme allocated more than 42 million TL to sustainability projects is an indicator of our determination in this area."
Stating that business partners contributed to 75 different projects during the project, Alper Ali Tunca said, "Our stakeholders have made significant progress in the sector with the projects they have partnered with. They organised more than 100 trainings within themselves. Thanks to our strategic guidance, companies reduced carbon emissions by approximately 25% on a monthly basis, adjusted for seasonal effects. In the future, we aim to achieve greater success in the sustainability journey together with our business partners." Dr Celal Hakan Canbaz, Co-Founder of Climpach, said: "With this cooperation that we have signed in order to increase sustainability awareness in Turkey, we plan to achieve significant success in reducing environmental impacts and reach sustainable development goals. As a result of the strategic assessments made on a monthly basis, we will increase the renewable energy production of companies while reducing energy consumption, waste, water consumption and leakage gases to the atmosphere."
Prof. Dr. Celal Hakan Canbaz said, "Siemens Business Partner Sustainability Journey", which is a first in Turkey, is rising on the shoulders of Siemens, one of the leading locomotive companies of the world economy and one of the firsts. Together with Siemens teams, we have created a comprehensive programme by selecting the most suitable ones for the sectors and business partners among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. We guide Siemens business partners to take more effective and targeted steps in their sustainability journey. As Climpach, we will continue to provide services to our customers in developing environmentally friendly strategies, reducing their carbon footprint, increasing their energy efficiency and sustainable resource management. With the latest technology and innovative approaches, we support companies in achieving their sustainability goals while helping them save costs in the long term."
Eylem Korucuoğlu, Business Unit and Marketing Director of Siemens Electrical Products, said, "Siemens Sustainability Journey is one of the best examples of our ecosystem perspective as a company. This initiative represents an important step we have taken in the field of sustainability together with our partners. Within the scope of the main objective of the programme, improvements were achieved in many areas such as raising awareness on sustainability, energy saving, waste management, water consumption, renewable energy use and sustainable product preference. We are also proud to have realised more than 75 sustainability-themed social responsibility projects. I can say that all the steps taken today will light the way for a better tomorrow."
