There are only a few days left for the mandatory transition to e-Invoice for businesses with an annual turnover of 3 million TL and above. Stating that the transition process must be completed by 1 July 2024, İşNet announced that those who have to switch to e-Invoice are also obliged to switch to e-Ledger by 1 January. 

TURKEY - There are only a few days left for the transition to e-Invoice services. According to the communiqué numbered 535 of the Tax Procedure Law (VUK) published in 2022, companies that will start to use e-Invoice services compulsorily must complete the transition process until 1 July 2024. Stating that this communiqué covers a wide range, Ayhan Akgöz, İşNet e-Transformation Services Group Manager, explained that since 2022, businesses with an annual turnover of 3 million TL and above are obliged to switch to the e-Invoice system until 1 July 2024.

Ayhan Akgöz said, "E-commerce companies with a turnover of 500 thousand TL have to switch to e-invoice and e-archive invoice application until 1 July within the scope of the communiqué. In addition, within the scope of the communiqué, there are also those who manufacture, build, buy, sell and lease in the field of real estate and motor vehicles whose turnover reaches 500 thousand TL in 2022 and later. It is not the turnover obtained from these areas, but the total turnover. Hotel businesses that provide accommodation services by obtaining investment or business certificates from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and municipalities should also be included in e-Invoice and e-Archive Invoice systems until 1 July, regardless of turnover. All businesses that are obliged to use e-Invoice must also switch to e-Ledger until 1 January 2025."

Ayhan Akgöz, İşNet e-Transformation Services Group Manager, emphasised that companies with a turnover of 10 million TL or more in 2022 and beyond have to switch to the e-Waybill system until 1 July and said, "e-Invoice and e-Archive Invoice service can be used in 3 different ways: private integrator, Revenue Administration portal and integration.
