Voltify Founder and CEO Mehmet Yiğit pointed out that electric vehicle sales in Turkey increased by 873 per cent in the 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period of 2022.

At the event, which attracted great interest from the business world, managers had the opportunity to experience the newest generation of electric vehicles currently on sale in Turkey. Speaking at the event, Voltify Founder and CEO Mehment Yiğit pointed out that electric vehicle sales in Turkey increased by 873 per cent in the 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period of 2022 and emphasised that companies should accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.
Mehmet Yiğit, who expressed that they have faced a high demand from individuals and institutions curious about the electric vehicle experience, stated that they have almost all-electric vehicle models available in Turkey in their inventory. He said, "The companies participating in the event have approximately 20,000 vehicles in their fleets. These 20,000 vehicles cause 110,000 tons of carbon emissions per year. Therefore, accelerating the transition to electric vehicles will also contribute positively to our future.
Voltify CEO Mehmet Yiğit said, "In 2024, we expect that 12 out of every 100 vehicles sold in our country will be electric. The electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Turkey is also rapidly developing. Today, more than 140 companies have obtained charging infrastructure licenses. Approximately 10,000 sockets are planned to be installed by the end of the year. According to this, there is one socket for every 5 vehicles on the road in Turkey. It should be emphasized that this ratio is quite good. In comparison, the same ratio in Germany is seen as 1 in 9."
Mehmet Yiğit, the CEO of the electric vehicle rental platform Voltify, stated that they offer electric vehicle options starting from a monthly rate of 20,000 TL at the entry-level.
