While many experts warn to take precautions against possible devastating earthquakes, ST Alternative Fuarcilik will organise the Earthquake Resistant Buildings Summit and Exhibition at the Istanbul Expo Center on 20-23 December with the support of ST Endüstri Radio and many sector associations. 

TURKEY - While the wounds continue to heal after the earthquakes that occurred in Hatay and Kahramanmaraş in February, many experts warn that urban transformation activities should be accelerated in case of possible earthquakes in Istanbul and other provinces. ST Alternatif Fuarcilik is preparing to bring together relevant industry professionals at the Earthquake Resistant Buildings Summit and Exhibition, which will be held on 20-23 December at Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) with the support of ST Endüstri Radio, Degüder and Earthquake Isolation Association. The event will be attended by urban transformation and building and construction companies and brands offering earthquake strengthening, design and application services, aims to ensure that all stakeholders in this field take responsibility and focus on solutions rather than problems regarding earthquakes. 

Stating that they will continue to take responsibility and raise awareness about the earthquake resistance of buildings until the entire building stock of our country is made earthquake resistant and each new building is built as a safe structure, Recep Akbayrak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ST Endüstri Media Group, made the following statement on the subject, “The Earthquake Resistant Buildings Summit and Exhibition, which will play an important role in making our country’s building stock earthquake-resistant, will contribute significantly to the growth of the market, in additional to filling a large gap in the sector. “I would like to thank in advance all the professionals who showed great interest in the event, for which we are rapidly preparing for the even with the motto #RisliBuildingUntilYouStay.”

Recep Akbayrak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ST Endüstri Media Group, said that they are working with participants from home and abroad to renew all problematic structures and said, “Although this is a commercial organization, our main mission is not to generate income. Our event has a wide participant base. "We are working together to make our building stock earthquake-resistant and to build buildings that will not collapse in any earthquake.”

According to the information obtained from Recep Akbayrak, earthquake-resistant wall systems, roof and facade systems, special dowel production and supply, building safety testing and laboratory, earthquake isolator/damper applications, earthquake insulation engineering, architecture, and consultancy will be included in the Earthquake Resistant Buildings Summit and Exhibition. Companies operating in fields such as waterproofing materials, construction chemical materials, steel, wooden and prefabricated building systems, infrastructure and superstructure systems, earthquake-resistant scaffolding and mechanical installations will participate. In addition, contractors, investors, architects, as well as construction, earthquake and mechanical engineers, designers, project managers, engineers, technical managers, managers and relevant representatives of municipalities will also visit the event.
