Daikin Turkey Academy, which has contributed to the development of employees in the air conditioning sector by providing a total of 490 thousand 889 hours of training to 57 thousand 242 people since its inception in 2013, continued its mission of adding value to the sector in the 2022 fiscal year.

TURKEY - According to the statement made by the company, Daikin successfully continues its training activities under the umbrella of Daikin Turkey Academy in order to add value to its employees and stakeholders.

Adopting the mission of 'to be a school that raises people who can think, research and produce' as a principle, the academy has provided a total of 490,889 hours of training to 57,242 people so far.

In addition to technical and personal development trainings that will support sectoral development, the Academy continues to work with projects that will enable women to have a strong place in business life.

In order to support women's employment and equal opportunity, Daikin Turkey Academy, which has been providing trainings in the field of technicians, which is considered a male job in the sector, since 2017 with the 'Sakura Female Technician Project', also provided 292 hours of professional and personal development training to 14 female technicians in 2022.

Continuing its training for both its employees and the sector in the 2022 fiscal year, the academy provided a total of 21,907 hours of training not only to its stakeholders in Turkey, but also to distributors in the CIS region, while contributing to its own brand, while also providing an opportunity to raise awareness about the sector.

Sectoral training for value-raising teachers

The 'MEB teacher training activities' carried out within the scope of the training and development activities implemented by Daikin for the sector continued in the 2022 fiscal year as well.

Within the scope of the training, it was aimed to contribute to the development and continuity of the sector by providing trainings on Basic Level Air Conditioning (Air Conditioning), Basic Level Heating (Combi), VRV and Altherma Products Installation and Installation, System Information, Central Systems, Chiller, Air Handling Unit, Fancoil and Energy Efficiency.

In this context, a total of 3 thousand 40 hours of training was given to 117 trainers affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.

First, You Smile

Continuing its education at its centre in Maltepe, Daikin Turkey Academy added the 'Academy Service Secretariat training program under the name 'You Smile First' in the 2022 fiscal year to its program, in which it added new phases according to the changing dynamics.

During the year, 259 participants were involved in the study, which aims to strengthen brand perception and ensure customer satisfaction.

It was aimed at the participants, who received a total of 1813 hours of training, to get to know the Daikin brand better, to reinforce brand awareness, and to absorb the brand's efforts on sustainability.

One of the trainings organized by Daikin Turkey Academy for the 2022 fiscal year was the PRO Dealer Development Program. A total of 6,695 hours of training were given to 197 people in the 63-day training program, which was carried out in 9 stages in 7 regions.

Trainings designed with a focus on sustainability

Putting sustainability at the center of its business practices, Daikin Turkey also attaches importance to this issue in its trainings. While the training content on creating 'Sustainability Awareness' was included at the beginning of the Service Secretariat trainings, energy efficiency issues were focused on in the MEB trainings.

Publishing e-training content on sustainability and waste management, the academy also ensures that the training process of its employees and stakeholders is carried out within the framework of the newly published F-Gas Regulation.

Comprehensive training continues

Daikin Turkey Academy, which cares not only for technical trainings but also for personal development for employees and stakeholders in the air conditioning sector, continued in this context by offering a wide range of trainings from language training to mentoring training in the 2022 fiscal year.

With the Foreign Language Support Program, which started in June 2022, the language development of the employees was supported for 7 months.

In order to enable Daikin's corporate strategies to be realized, a mentoring program has been implemented in 3 phases in order to support the development of employees and to use their potential more, and to increase the capacity of talents and competencies by sharing the accumulated experience.

Daikin, which organizes long-term personal development trainings supported by a follow-up program for all employees, has designed programs for first-level leaders to support their 'coach-like' leadership as a continuation of the leadership program.

While a business simulation program will support company management and financial literacy competencies for middle-level leaders, these programs aim to understand better the importance of being a team and studying in different disciplines.

Daikin Turkey Academy will continue its training with the same momentum in the next period and will continue to support sector employees in their knowledge, self-renewal and professional development.
