Mars Logistics Crowned its “Value to the World” Philosophy with its New Sustainability Report
Mars Logistics, one of Turkey's leading logistics companies, continues its sustainability journey with the philosophy of "Value to the World" by publishing the 2022 Sustainability Report covering the data for the year 2020-2022.
TURKEY - Mars Logistics acts with the vision of being a brand that works to make a difference by creating original, innovative and permanent values to transfer the awareness of social sensitivity to future generations and maintains its leadership position by constantly growing, continuing its environmental, economic and social sustainability studies with its newly published Sustainability Report.
Speaking on the subject, Mars Logistics Corporate Development Manager Meltem Çınar stated that they prepared the 2022 Sustainability Report, which includes the data for the years 2020-2022, in accordance with the basic principles recommended in the GRI Standards, and said, “We also took into account the WEF Stakeholder Capitalism reporting criteria in our report, in which we shared our performance results and our vision for the future, which we created with our risk and opportunity analyses. However, the report also demonstrates our performance within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”
Saying that they also published the Corporate Sustainability Manifesto last year, Çınar said, "We are committed to the future of our company and our sector with our dream of a more liveable common future, without leaving anyone behind and in solidarity, to establish a more equitable, egalitarian structure that accepts diversity and includes this diversity for a sustainable future with the direction we have determined. We are proud to present the steps we have taken regarding the issue and their results with our 2020-2022 Sustainability Report to our esteemed stakeholders.”
Çınar stated that they are among the pioneers of the sector with the Sustainability Reports they have published in the past years and said, “We were proud that the 2012 sustainability report, in which we report our activities, is the first sustainability report in the Turkish logistics industry that complies with the global reporting standards of GRI. We became one of the first 10 companies in Turkey to write a report at the GRI A+ level in 2013 with our 2013 sustainability report, which we published to continue to convey our sustainability efforts and sustainability performance, which we continue with the same perspective to our stakeholders in the most clear and comprehensive way.”
“We manage all the values we produce, protect our nature by reducing the negative impacts arising from our activities, understand our employees, whom we see as our most valuable resource, and share our experiences by turning them into a social benefit.” Çınar stated that they would continue to say, "We are strong with our values" in the sustainability journey; they are advancing with the philosophy of "Value for the World”.
