Working as SAP Turkey Public Policy and Official Relations Director since 2019, Dr. Onur Yıldırım has been appointed to SAP's office in New York as Director of International Relations and Public Policy Strategic Projects.

TURKEY - Successful managers in the Turkish market, where SAP, the global leader of the enterprise application and software market, has been serving since 2001, are appointed to global positions. Currently, 4 successful managers of SAP Turkey undertake regional and global roles in addition to their responsibilities in Turkey. Onur Yıldırım has been appointed to SAP's office in New York to serve as Director of International Relations and Public Policy Strategic Projects.

In his new role, Dr Onur Yıldırım will be responsible for SAP's relations with international organizations, especially the United Nations, World Bank and development banks, business development projects and the management of strategic global projects of the public policy department.

A Career from the public to the private sector

Before joining SAP as McKinsey & Company's Turkey Public and Social Sector Business Development Leader, Dr. Onur Yıldırım started his career in the public sector in 2005 as an assistant specialist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, General Directorate of Foreign Relations, International Institutions Directorate. He joined Philip Morris Sabancı in 2012 and served as Corporate Affairs Manager and at Intel Corporation, where he started working in 2014, as Corporate and Public Relations Director.

Before Onur Yıldırım's Master's Degree in Public Administration / International Economic Development from Harvard University between 2008 and 2010, he received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University, a master's degree in Business Administration from Hacettepe University and a Business Administration Department from Ankara University. He has doctorate degrees as well.
