Young Turkish writers are achieving worldwide success. Finally, the Russian translation rights of the works of Dilara Keskin, the author of the Lost Souls Palace series published by Ephesus Publishing, and Mehtap Fırat, who wrote the Pole Star series, were purchased by Eksmo, a Russian publishing house that brings the young fiction category books together with the readers.

TURKEY - While the awareness of the habit of reading books is increasing day by day, it is noted that books in the young-adult categories are beginning to attract great attention. According to the data announced by Wordsrated, it is seen that young-adult books have been the fastest-growing category in the last 5 years, with an increase in sales rates. While 87.56% of the young-adult books, of which almost 36 million printed copies were sold last year, were written in the form of fiction, authors who produce works in this category in our country continue to achieve global success.

“I am proud to represent our country”

Author Dilara Keskin shared her thoughts on the subject with these words, “Every time I fell, my band-aid became words. Ever since I was a child, I found healing in writing. The happiness of meeting my readers between the lines has an indescribable power. Now, my happiness is increasing exponentially with the pride of representing my country in the world. I am pleasantly surprised that the stories I scribbled in my notebook as a child have brought me to this point. I would like to thank Mustafa Güneş, Editor-in-Chief of Ephesus Publications, who made me experience such joy at a young age, and my family, friends and readers who have always supported me.”

Writer Mehtap Fırat made the following statement, “The Pole Star embodies friendship, brotherhood and love; A youth novel about how people can be tightly connected to each other even without blood ties. Since the first day, I wrote the book, sometimes I cried with my characters, and sometimes I laughed with them. My work has a very special place for me as it is the first tear in my writing adventure. I am very happy that my book will be published in Russia. I hope that Russian literature lovers will both experience the excitement of the story and find their own Pole Star when they read the Pole Star."

“Our aim is to pave the way for young writers”

Mustafa Güneş, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Ephesus Publishing, said, “Since the day we were founded, our aim has been to guide and encourage young writers. Now, at the point we have reached, we see that our writers pave the way for their peers in many subjects and are a source of inspiration for them. On the other hand, it has been a great source of pride for us to have the books of our talented authors translated into Russian. This success proves that when we give our young people the opportunity, they can do anything. In this direction, we continue to set an example for other publishers while publishing the books of our young authors. I believe that we will make our voices heard more in world literature.”
