The non-governmental organization Join My Dream Association, which works for students to have equal opportunities in education, sports and art, has signed a cooperation with Amazon Turkey within the scope of the "I'm Coding My Dream" project. TURKEY - The Join My Dream Association, which implements sustainable and qualified activities to support students in achieving equal opportunities in education, sports and art, is signing a village school project with Amazon Turkey. Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of Alper Elbirler, the General Manager of the Join My Dream Association, 'Coding My Dream' workshops will be established in 5 village schools in İzmir. Alper Elbirler, General Manager of Join My Dream Association, who stated that the trainings within the scope of software engineering, one of the favorite professions of today and the future, are very important for young people, shared the details of their projects with the following words: “We will provide training to 10 teachers in 5 village schools within the scope of the project. Afterwards, teachers will meet with students in workshops to be established in schools and conduct STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based studies. Students will begin their studies with coding activities using symbol-based programming. After completing these activities, he will improve his coding skills with a word-based programming language. Thus, we will enable primary school students to both write code and learn coding step by step from simple to complex.”

Students will meet at I Code My Dream Fair in Izmir

Stating that students will form teams of 10 during the workshops and that the teams will meet at the 'Imagine Your Future School' fair to be held in İzmir on the week of April 23, Alper Elbirler said, "With this project, students and teachers will gain skills required in the digital age in their work with STEM principles. In addition, they will develop their physical, cognitive, emotional, social and creativity muscles. I am very happy to contribute to the development of students with our project. Because I take it as my mission to prioritize social benefit in every aspect of life. Therefore, after graduating from different universities such as tourism and hotel management, business administration, web design and coding, I volunteered at various institutions. Finally, I assumed the role of general manager of the Association of Join My Dream. We are trying to shed light on the future of our students with our new project that I lead. We continue our efforts to develop more diverse projects and reach more students in the coming period.”
