Saying that many patients from different continents of the world have had rhinoplasty surgery especially in the last 5 years, Otolaryngologist Op. Dr. Uğur Harputluoğlu pointed out that in order to respond to the demands of patients coming from abroad, it is necessary to master the facial types of various ethnic groups, “For example, those living in the Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan have expectations that are opposite to the demands of rhinoplasty in the world. The aim of those who want to have rhinoplasty is to make the nose smaller or more straight or curved. However, patients from Asia want to raise the back of their mostly flattened nose and increase the regional volume of the nose. In these countries, it is prioritized to have a nose that is much smaller and assertive enough to be made aesthetically pleasing. While patients in some Middle Eastern countries want to preserve the structural features of their noses, they demand a softer, more balanced nose that looks most compatible with their face.”
