ISTANBUL (TR) - Kodris, a local education initiative that teaches coding to children aged 7-16, received an investment of 420 thousand dollars. Onur Cantepe and Barış Sivri led the investment tour, while Cantekin Dinçerler, Duran Cesur, Çağatay Bircan, Mehmet Çelikol, Kamil Özdağ, Ahmet Kocamaz, Nicolaos Anagnostopoulos, Cezmi Aydoğdu also took part in this tour.
Kodris CEO Koray Uzel said that the investment would be used to accelerate foreign expansion.
Through algorithmic thinking skills, Kodris enables students to learn advanced computer skills for block and text-based coding by generating algorithms on a game-based platform.
To overcome income distribution and gender inequality in education, Kodris ensures that coding education is accessible from different parts of the world and aims to reach all students who are willing to learn by paying attention to gender equality.
The Kodris platform, which was developed by considering the specific needs of schools and students and includes more than 1,500 steps, has a reporting and follow-up panel where teachers can closely follow their curriculum and the development of their students.
Kodris, which more than 400,000 students use in leading private and public schools in Turkey, expanded to the African market through Kenya in 2022 and reached more than 10,000 students in a short time. It managed to sell to new schools and customers in the USA and the Middle East in 2022.
Being a first in its field, Kodris, which has Pearson accreditation, aims to expand to Europe, Latin America, and America in the coming period. Currently, the application in Turkish and English languages will be adding Spanish and French to the system soon.
