ISTANBUL (TR) - The global logistics market, which reached $4.9 trillion last year with the triggering power of the pandemic, is expected to exceed $6.5 trillion in 2027 with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 5%. Stating that e-commerce activities, which have become increasingly widespread with the rise in online shopping in the world, accelerated the traffic in the global logistics market, YKG Kurye Founder Yaprak Güçlü said, “The sudden contraction in the world trade volume, which started with the pandemic, quickly left its place to a solid recovery. At the last stage we have reached, the global logistics industry has managed to cover the 10-year distance in 2 years. The Turkish logistics industry has also kept up with the rising trend in the global market with applications such as contactless trade.”

Noting that the logistics industry, which increases its dynamism with new generation applications by taking advantage of the power of digital technologies, also has a great potential for women entrepreneurs, Yaprak Güçlü said, “As YKG Kurye, we aimed to take cargo services to a higher level with our projects and applications that blended our 12 years of experience and innovative approach. As a company that manages three large e-market operations in our country simultaneously, we reduced deliveries to the end-user to one hour and increased the service quality. With the joint package system we have developed, we have completely eliminated the courier problem of small businesses. We brought speed and efficiency to courier services with Kargocum and YKGvınn applications.”

It brought about a thousand female couriers to the sector

Pointing out that they support women's participation in business life by destroying the male-dominated perception in the logistics sector, YKG Kurye Founder Yaprak Güçlü said, “We guide women, especially young people, to shape their career lives by achieving economic independence. By climbing the career ladder in 12 years, we set an example for many women entrepreneurs with the motto 'Everyone should be able to do this.’ By prioritizing women, we reached several employees exceeding 2 thousand in 1 year. We have brought nearly a thousand female couriers to the sector through training such as motor driving."

Turkey's logistics flag will be flown in different geographies

Stating that they closely follow the developments in the global logistics sector, Yaprak Güçlü said, "With our command of advanced technologies, we increase our service quality day by day by integrating the most recent developments in the world into our practices. Thus, we bring new initiatives to the sector by moving our company beyond being the success of a woman entrepreneur. We aim to wave the logistics flag of our country in different geographies with the power of women. We continue our efforts to be the representative of trust in corporate courier services abroad as well as in Turkey.”
