ISTANBUL (TR) - According to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data, Turkey's agricultural exports reached 30 billion dollars in 2021 with an increase of 22.2% compared to the previous year. Meeting almost all of Turkey's seedless raisin exports in the sector, which has a 13.2% share in 2021 exports, Manisa exported 630 thousand tons of agricultural products alone. While cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products ranked first with 9 billion 156.5 million dollars in 2021 exports, dried fruits and products identified with Manisa ranked 7th among the most exported product groups with 1 billion 574.3 million dollars.

IPSO Agriculture Turkey General Manager Özgür Barış Eryüz stated that Manisa, which takes one of the most significant shares in the export of table olives and cherries as well as raisins, is one of the most exporting actors of the agricultural sector in Turkey, and said, “Agricultural production is carried out on an area of more than 5 million decares in total in Manisa. In line with creating a sustainable agricultural city based on knowledge and science, the studies carried out by the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry support modern agriculture and animal husbandry activities. Manisa, the largest industrial and commercial center of the Aegean Region after İzmir, brings its exporter identity to advanced levels by combining this position with its agricultural wealth. As a company operating in Turkey since 2020, we will support sustainable agriculture by bringing together the fertile lands of the city with advanced technologies, with our branch opened in Manisa in addition to our 19 dealers across Turkey.”

It will manage its activities in the Aegean from Manisa

Stating that IPSO Tarım has maintained a business partnership with John Deere, one of the world's leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, and sold in more than 160 countries for more than 25 years, Özgür Barış Eryüz said, “The way to achieve the highest efficiency in agriculture is to use high-level technologies. We have been bringing our farmers together with advanced technologies since 2020 with our 19 dealers in Turkey. We are bringing our business model, which we have implemented in the international arena, to Turkey with our branch that started its operations in Manisa Akhisar. First of all, we will complete our structuring in the Aegean Region. We will expand our activities in the region from Manisa, the capital of raisins. Through our branch, we will bring together future agricultural technologies with farmers operating in the Aegean with our latest John Deere and McCormick tractor models. In the coming period, we plan to add different world brands to our structure.”

It will offer point-to-point solutions to farmers

Emphasizing that they will expand their area of operation from Diyarbakır to Tekirdağ, from Malatya to Antalya with the new branches they have put into service of farmers in Manisa, IPSO Group President Arnaud Van Strien said: “Together we made it to 20. With both sales and after-sales services of our branch in Manisa, we will be the next address of our farmers after their homes. Together with our dealers, we aim to increase productivity with advanced technologies by producing pinpoint solutions for our farmer friends.”
