ISTANBUL (TR) - Renovation and renovation work in houses, repeated seasonally or at long intervals in previous years, both gained momentum and became free of seasonality in the pandemic. Increasing demands for home decoration have also triggered the growth of the global market. The data published by Market Data Forecast indicates that the worldwide home decoration market, which was worth 728 billion dollars in 2021, will reach a value of approximately 940 billion dollars by 2027, with an annual integrated increase of 6.8%. ResearchAndMarkets' report shows that the home furnishings and floor coverings market took a share of $106 billion from this pie in 2021.

Seranit, one of the pioneers of the porcelain tile industry in Turkey, continues to work actively in the country and abroad to increase its market share. Welcoming 2022 with its new store opened in Maslak, Istanbul, Seranit participated in the Coverings Fair in Las Vegas in April and introduced its latest products to more than 20 thousand industry professionals from 40 countries. Seranit met with professionals in Turkey in May as well. The domestic manufacturer hosted an event on May 23, World Interiors Day, and hosted the board of directors and members of the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Interior Architects of TMMOB. The artists painted Istanbul on the tiles in the event sponsored by Seranit General Manager Nadir Erze.

Making a statement after the event on 28 May, Nadir Erze said, “We hosted 150 guests, including important names, at our headquarters in Istanbul Üsküdar, at the event where we came together to celebrate the World Interiors Day. We were happy to see Emrah Kaymak, President of TMMOB Chamber of Interior Architects, and Osman Araıcı, Head of the Istanbul Branch, among us. In the program we held at our headquarters located in Istanbul's unique Bosphorus view, we also organized many activities for our guests to have a pleasant time.”

They painted Istanbul on the tiles

Stating that they organized artistic activities using Seranit products at the event, Seranit General Manager Nadir Erze said, “We created various activities for our guests by including our porcelain tiles, which we produced using modern production technologies our event. We held an "Action Paint" workshop with 90x90 cm Seranit products under the moderation of painter Esra Yılmaz. Micro Art Artist Murat Uçar, on the other hand, painted the silhouette of Istanbul while making his designs on 5x5 cm tiles. With our capacity to produce tiles from the largest to the smallest, we will take a larger share of the growing home decoration and building sector market”.
