ISTANBUL (TR) - While the video game industry reaches more users every year, the hyper-casual genre has come to the fore in mobile games. According to App Annie's State of Mobile Gaming 2022 report, hypercasual games that work with lean game dynamics and are still played for long hours by many users were downloaded 13 billion times last year. While the Hypercasual genre continues to be the locomotive of the mobile game industry, Hyperlab, the gaming startup that aims to increase Turkey's competitiveness in this field in the international arena, has completed its seed investment round. Reaching a valuation of 7.5 million, the Istanbul-based company received investment from Avni Yerli, the founder of Crytek, which is among the largest video game developers in the world, and Ali Can Temel, the founder of ACT Capital.
