Under the leadership of Koruncuk Foundation, Istanbul Foster Family Association, Couple Family Therapies Association, Baby Mental Health Association, Our Children Youth Academy, İzmir Foster Family Association, Denizli, came together under the umbrella of the Project "We Strengthen the Child by Supporting the Family" carried out within the scope of the III Term of the EU Presidency Civil Society Support Program. Foster Family Association, Maraş Foster Family Association, Maya Foundation, Kalben Association, Malatya Displaced Persons Association, Hayat Sende Association, Kırmızı Children's Association, My Yuvam Association are carrying out a series of studies to improve the process of returning children under protection to their families.

The Psychosocial Support Model that emerged as a result of these studies; It recommends that efforts to adapt the child to the family and to reduce the risk factors of the family should be started simultaneously with institutional care and continued for one year after returning to the family. The model includes psychological interventions aimed at building family bonds and healing traumas, as well as closely followed social work studies.

With its Psychosocial Support Model, Koruncuk also aims to support children to live with happy, healthy and safe families by improving the Return to Family System in cooperation with civil society and public will.

While conveying the work done on the project so far; The problems observed by non-governmental organizations working in the field in returning children under protection to the biological family from institutional care and how the process can be improved for the benefit of the child were shared. Istanbul Provincial Director Karaman stated that they observed that especially the first 3 months are critical in terms of family-child harmony when returning to the biological family, and stated that they are open to increasing the number of studies aimed at understanding and supporting the needs of the family in this process.
