According to the World Health Organization statement reviewed by Online PR Service B2Press, the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the frequency of recurrence of depression and anxiety by 25% globally. In the WHO's information note, it was stated that after this increase, which was caused by social isolation, loneliness, fear of infection, mourning after death and financial concerns, women, young people and those with physical disorders were more at risk. In the United Nations (UN) report, it was noted that anxiety, sadness and stress, which are 10% more common in women, maintain the same trend in the new reporting period. Anger was found to be 10% less in women than in men.

On the other hand, a study conducted by the American Psychological Association (APA) earlier this month found that 80% of US citizens cite rising inflation and the occupation of Ukraine as major sources of stress. In the survey conducted for 15 years, it was stated that the highest number of people who said they were stressed about any subject was recorded this year, while global uncertainty and supply source problems were also counted among the sources of stress.
