Research shows that CRM software is not adopted by 60% of companies.* This is cited to be because of the lack of adaptive user interface, technology company Zoho, which offers cloud business solutions, announces that it can resolve this problem with the Canvas design studio offered with its CRM software to enhance user experience. Zoho Head of Europe Sridhar Iyengar said, “With this product, which we offer free of charge for our CRM customers, users can customize the look and feel of the CRM system as they wish, and use it efficiently without writing a single line of code.”
Digital transformation, which started a new era in the business world and has recently accelerated hugely, has also increased the use of customer relationship management (CRM) software. While CRM software is the foundation for designing a good customer experience, research shows that while it is one of the fastest growing business software markets, CRM has low adoption and usage rates. According to CSO Insights, only 2 out of 5 companies (40%) say they have adopted 90% of CRM. Failure rates range from 37 to 81%, depending on the industry. While it was pointed out that these results occurred due to the lack of an adaptable and functional user interface, Zoho, one of the world's leading technology companies, took an important step. The company, which has recently come to the fore with its decision to increase its activities in Turkey, announced that the design studio Canvas, from Zoho CRM allows users to design and customize the software interface as they wish and as best suits the needs of their team or business. The free-of-charge Canvas is expected to be added to Zoho's more than 50 cloud-based business applications in the coming years.
Sridhar Iyengar, Zoho Head of Europe, said, “Today, almost all CRM software has a fixed user interface which is homogenous in the industry. However, every business's CRM works with different information and has different requirements and preferences so it is not possible to have a single design that suits all, let alone one which provides a superior customer and employee experience. As a result, adoption and effective usage rates are also below expectations. Our design studio Canvas looks to resolve this problem. Users can customize the look and feel of the CRM system as they wish, without writing a single line of code, with a simple drag-and-drop interface.”
Mentioning that they have made interface design with Canvas easy for everyone, Iyengar explained the working principle of the design studio as follows: “You do not need to be a software developer or designer to use Canvas. The user only needs to know his own needs. Every detail can be customized, from changing the appearance of customer records to the fill color of a button. The designs can be copied to other modules or even to other Zoho CRM accounts. We believe that this move will usher in a new era in user experience, improving both customer and employee experience and driving up adoption in the industry.”
