According to a global study from PwC, 30% of consumers say they are spending more on New Year gifts this year. Research on New Year shopping by the B2Press Online PR Service shows that habits differ from country to country. According to a survey conducted by IPSOS in America, Europe and Australia, 39% of consumers have completed or are about to complete their New Year shopping. 2 out of 10 people say they will make more last-minute purchases compared to the previous year. According to research and survey studies reviewed by B2Press, which specializes in press release distribution, 76% of consumers prefer environmentally friendly brands for their New Year shopping, especially since the pandemic. The factor of trust, which has been recorded as 70% in previous years, stands out as the most important criterion for 92% of consumers this year. Consumers want to trust the brands they will buy first.

Money and gift cards are in vogue!

With the increasing use of digital platforms throughout the pandemic, the shopping habits of consumers are transforming at the same rate. While the data analyzed by the B2Press Online PR Service within the scope of trends indicates that 57% of consumers will shop on digital platforms this year, it is also noteworthy that this rate was 61% higher than last year. “What would you like to be bought for you?” When asked, respondents gave familiar answers such as clothes (12%), perfume (9%), books (6%) and chocolate (4%), while "money and gift cards" entered their wish list as a surprise with 19%.
