At the same time, the student must have health insurance. There is a two-stage visa application for students who will participate in diploma, undergraduate and master programs at colleges and universities online. Visa applications are also open for students going to language school. However, the disclosure period of visas can take up to 5 months.”

Only schools with Covid-19 preparation plan approved can accept students from abroad

Stating that new practices have started in the education system of Canada in line with pandemic conditions, Cerrahoğlu explained the relevant procedures as follows: “In Canada, the education ministries of each state follow the number of patients and the course of the pandemic in coordination with the public health experts in their regions; It takes measures to protect the health of both students and the local community. While schools are open to face-to-face education in regions with few or no patients, in regions with a denser population and high number of patients, periodic distance education is possible, as well as hybrid and alternative education models. Measures have been taken on a national basis for international students to be included in education during the pandemic process. In this context, only educational institutions that have the Covid-19 Preparation Plan approved by the state are allowed to accept students from abroad. Applications continue within the quotas and both physical and online methods are used in student selection.”
