Passport Index 2019, which measures the power of passports depending on how many countries can travel without visa, is announced. 115 countries visa-free travel to the Republic of Turkey passport, was announced as the world's most powerful 39th passport. United Arab Emirates ranks first in the list of the world's most powerful passports.

UTRECHT (NL) - The results of Global Passport Power Rank 2019 prepared by Canadian based consultancy firm Arton Capital are published. The real-time index ranks the strength of passports from the United Nations’ 199 member countries based on the number of countries a citizen can visit visa-free.  According to the results analyzed by the online PR agency B2Press; United Arab Emirates is at the top of the list, which allow passport holders access to 167 countries without a prior visa. The United Arab Emirates is followed by Germany with the passport allow entry to 166 countries visa-free. Third one is Singapore with passports allow entry into 165 countries visa-free.

It is noteworthy that 15 of the 20 strongest passports of 2019 belong to European countries. Turkey has been listed as the 39th most powerful passport in the world and the 18th among the European countries. Passports from Turkey allow entry to 71 countries visa-free and entry to 44 countries with a visa upon arrival. 

The most preferred passport color in the world is blue.

The first place in the preference for the passport color of the country is blue. According to the online PR agency B2 Press, 78 of 199 countries use a blue passport and 68 countries have a red passport. The passport color of 43 countries is green and only 10 countries use black passport. Blue color passports are mostly seen in North and South American countries and green color passports are used in African countries. Asian and European countries prefer red passport.​​
