ISTANBUL (TR) - Turkey is moving full rein in exports in 2019. According to Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) data compiled by the B2B e-export platform TradeValley, 16.3 billion in exports took place in October. Istanbul provided 40% of exports with 6 billion 190 million dollars. After Istanbul, Bursa made the most contribution to exports. In October, Bursa realized 1 billion 433 million dollars of exports, followed by Kocaeli with 1 billion 340 million dollars and İzmir with 882 million dollars. When we look at the provinces that export more than 10 million dollars, the highest increase in exports in October compared to the same period of the previous year was 65% with Giresun, while exports from Düzce increased by 45% and exports from Trabzon increased by 37%. Exports in the last 12 months reached $ 180 billion. If the period average is reached in November and December of 2019, a new record is expected to be exceeded by exceeding the export record of $ 168 billion in 2018.

Big increase in defense industry exports in Antalya and Hatay!

When the sectors of the provinces which export more than 1 million dollars are examined, the biggest increase was in the defense and aviation industry exports from Antalya, which increased 3,200% in the first 10 months of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year. The second-largest increase was in the defense and aerospace industry from Hatay with 1.410% and the third in exports of hazelnuts and products from Düzce with 944%.

“7 European countries accounted for 35% of total exports.”

In 2019, the top three export countries were; Germany was $ 12.4 billion, England was $ 9 billion and Italy was $ 7.7 billion. Among the top 10 countries, the largest increase was in the Netherlands with 15%, Israel with 12% and Iraq with 4%. Turkey's top exporting TradeValley founder Yusuf Yenitürkoğul stated that 7 out of 10 European countries of "Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Romania are among the countries we export most. Exports to these seven countries amounted to $ 5 billion 300 million in October, with 35% of our total exports to these 7 European countries. Despite a declining slowdown in the world economy and Europe, in particular, I think it would increase Turkey's exports to the spread of e-platforms that they export."
