Accordingly, the most expensive flight of the year was from Istanbul to China.

According to the data announced by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, it is seen that the number of passengers served in air transportation has increased by 22.65% in the 7-month period of 2023 compared to the previous year and reached 118 million 679 thousand. Accordingly, it is recorded that the aircraft traffic is 226 471. Online travel platform Turna.com, on the other hand, announced the travel scorecard for the first seven months of 2023 based on air ticket sales.

According to the statistics shared by Turna.com, which has services such as flight search for more than one route at once, unconditional ticket cancellation, and intelligent flight feature, the most expensive international one-way flight ticket in the first seven months of 2023 was the Istanbul - Shanghai flight with 66 600 TL. The most costly round-trip international flight ticket was sold on the Istanbul - Mexico City flight with 129 900 TL. On domestic flights, the most costly one-way flight ticket was 6 024 TL, and the most expensive round-trip flight ticket was 9 241 TL on the Istanbul - Antalya route.

The cheapest international flight ticket is 263 TL.

According to the statistics of Turna.com, the most expensive month for domestic and international flight tickets was recorded as June, while the cheapest airline tickets were sold in February and March for domestic flights and April and May for international flights. While the cheapest one-way flight ticket for domestic flights was on the Dalaman - Istanbul flight with 384 TL, the most affordable domestic round-trip flight ticket was with the flight that made the Istanbul - Konya flight. The cheapest one-way flight ticket for international flights was sold to Istanbul - Tehran with 263 TL. A 1 418 TL ticket sold on the international round-trip flight from Istanbul to Tehran took place in the list of cheapest flights.

Students mostly fly to Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

According to the Turna.com report, where most flights occur in May for domestic flights and June for international flights, the most preferred routes within Turkey were Trabzon from Istanbul, Antalya and Istanbul from Izmir. On international flights, most of the trips were made from Istanbul to Tehran, Baku and Tashkent.
Passengers over 65 mostly flew to Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara on domestic flights and Stuttgart, Hamburg and Paris on international flights. Students preferred Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara for domestic flights, and Baku, Düsseldorf and Amsterdam for international flights. Couples and families with children mostly went to Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Ankara and Trabzon on domestic flights and Baku, Tehran, Beirut, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin and Amsterdam on international flights.
