In the early stages, unincorporated startups, in order to survive in a competitive environment, develop business ideas and aim to create an agile structure by participating in educational programs. Applications have opened for a 6-month pre-incubation program where Ikas and Istinye Garage Incubation Hub will share their knowledge in technology, marketing, finance, and management fields.

TURKEY — As the dynamics of the business world change daily depending on economic and political conditions, it is becoming increasingly difficult for newly established businesses to survive in a highly competitive world. While it is estimated that 305 million startups are established worldwide each year, nine out of ten startups fail, and 20% of startups close within a year.

E-commerce platform Ikas and Istinye Garage Incubation Hub have launched a new collaboration to support the broad entrepreneurship ecosystem for early-stage unincorporated startups. A pre-incubation program has been designed for entrepreneurs who want to strengthen their business ideas in innovation, technology, marketing, and financial management and become incorporated. Along with the program, which has just started accepting applications and will last 6 months, entrepreneurs will also be given mentorship support in addition to education. The top three startups that successfully complete the program will join the Incubation Program, which is a continuation of the pre-program. In this way, they will also become owners of surprise awards while developing their business ideas

Umut Akgül, the Business Development Manager of Ikas, stating that the openness to redesigning the dynamics of the business world creates an advantage for entrepreneurs and they can turn technological developments into opportunities, said on the subject, "A comprehensive curriculum awaits the entrepreneurs participating in the program we started in collaboration with the Istinye Garage Incubation Hub. They will receive end-to-end training focusing on the essentials of entrepreneurship such as lean startup, design-focused thinking, sustainable growth. While bringing their business ideas to life, they will also have the chance to gain sectoral knowledge and experience.”

Talha Uzun, Director of the Istinye University Entrepreneurship and Incubation Center, drew attention to the gains that entrepreneurs will achieve after the program, stating, "Upon completion of the education process, we will offer a mentorship program specifically tailored to the needs of the entrepreneurs. We will help entrepreneurs anticipate the outputs they may encounter in this process; We will enable them to become equipped in areas such as business, marketing, financial management, marketing strategies, business plan preparation.
