TURKEY - Eraslan Secondary School and High School Manager Bahar Erdem, which stands out with its bilingual education program, commented: “We have also removed the spatial limits of education in our sector, where digital education has rapidly entered digital education with the effect of the pandemic. While our students can fulfill their many responsibilities through digital platforms and devices during and after the pandemic period, they also experience competition not only within the borders of the country, but also on a global scale. Since the year we founded our school, we anticipate the benefits of digitalization and prepare our students for a sustainable life in a bilingual way where they can compete at world standards.

Thanks to our education program, which we set out with the principle of innovation in language acquisition, and most importantly, designed for today's students, we have largely achieved our goals in terms of both the process of getting used to the school and the achievements of students at world standards. As we start the second quarter of 2022-2023, both the feedback we receive from our parents and the academic, social and sportive developments of our students prove this. The most important thing is that our students continue to school happily because they can find answers to their needs.”

Middle school students start learning academic content in bilingual

Drawing attention to the fact that secondary school students have gained many gains with their differentiated educational content, individual learning, speed and learning strategies suitable for differences, Bahar Erdem said, “Students can easily compete on international platforms by transforming their achievements in lessons into projects. Bilingual lessons, which start from primary school, are carried to a higher level in secondary school and are taught in bilingual English mathematics, English science and English social studies lessons and a foreign language program integrated with academic content. In high school, our students can take undergraduate level courses accepted by 3,300 universities around the world and can use their achievements in these courses as university credits. Stating that Eraslan School is a member of the College Board, Bahar Erdem stated that the students graduated from secondary school with an English level that they could take an undergraduate course in English from academicians while they were still in high school, and they had the chance to certify this course by passing international exam scales. Considering all these, we can not only train qualified individuals that our country needs, but also multi-faceted individuals preferred by the workforce in the world. Eraslan's students, like his educators, are running fast, eliminating borders with high motivation. Our 8th and 12th grade students, who will take the national exams, have already completed half of their annual curriculum.”

12th graders can still access education opportunities abroad from high school

Bahar Erdem talked about campus education with full and part-time academicians besides being a College Board member and concluded her words with the following sentences. In addition to taking advanced academic courses in English at high school age, students who continue the Advanced Placement program at Eraslan School, "Psychology, entrepreneurship, international relations, economics, etc. students taking elective courses; they carry out their intellectual development simultaneously with academic processes. Our students, who get ideas for their undergraduate education from an early age in such an enabling environment, can also spend one year of their education abroad with the 12+1 program we apply in high school. Thus, they can see the good education systems in our country and in the world and make more conscious choices. In our school, where we measure the professional dispositions of our students with inventories, our aim is to reveal the potential of each student and to send our students to the business world in the best possible way. As we prepare for the registration of the 2023-2024 academic year, we are very excited about the innovations we will make in our education program.”
