ISTANBUL (TR) - In today's conditions, where technology is developing rapidly and its influence in our lives is increasing, creating an educational environment based on individual differences becomes critical. The fact that the 'Learning Theory' method, developed according to different learning styles based on individual differences, directly affects the performance of students, paves the way for parents to prefer educational institutions that apply this method for their children. According to a survey conducted by the National School Choice Week Team in the United States, 52% of parents found a new school for their children in the past year, while 36% said this was due to their search for a higher quality education.

Pointing out that families in Turkey have similar searches, Eraslan Bilingual Kindergarten Manager Pınar Taşezen Arslan said: “New generation children born into technology can access various information in a very short time. It is necessary to recognize the individual learning styles of the students in order for the students to learn the quickly accessed information correctly. With this in mind, we run the Eraslan-specific orientation program, which is based on trust between student-teacher and parents, specially designed for students who have just started their school life. The most important factor that enables students to find their own voice at Eraslan is the bilingual education program that we have created with differentiated teaching techniques. In this way, students feel that they can start learning with confidence, while their families know that they are in the right place.”

They support students not only in lessons, but in every moment of school life

Pınar Taşezen Arslan, who underlined that two teachers work in each classroom of Eraslan Bilingual Kindergarten and teach students in two languages, shared the following information about the education program: “First of all, we design an atmosphere where our students feel free and good at school. Then, we welcome students with a bilingual education program in which they can demonstrate their academic, emotional and social skills, suitable for their individual learning styles. During the day, we offer bilingual instructions to the students, accompanied by two teachers, even during the game, meal and self-care processes. In this way, we see that they improve their skills in every field and they can use both their mother tongue and English while doing this. We can measure how effective the roadmap we have drawn is from the feedback we receive from our parents.”

They guide students' education with differentiated assignments and individual academic pursuits

Stating that they discovered the style that each student learns best in the lessons they designed using differentiated education techniques, Eraslan Primary School Principal Elvan Yüksel said, “In addition to our individual academic follow-up system, we support our students outside of school with structured studies aimed at their needs. The most important collaborators in this process are our parents. As a result of our cooperation with parents, we take the potential of our students one step further. So much so that we even teach mathematics, science and social studies in primary school in two languages.

Students go one step ahead by taking college courses in high school

Eraslan Primary School Principal Elvan Yüksel, who stated that the mathematics, science and social studies courses they teach bilingually were carried to a higher level with the CLIL method in secondary school, concluded his words as follows: They take courses in economics, philosophy, AI, entrepreneurship, international relations, art history and psychology. At Eraslan, which is an AP school (Advanced Placement), students who want to maximize their academic success can take undergraduate courses accepted by 3,300 universities around the world at the high school age. Students who earn credits as a result of their success in these courses go one step ahead by counting these credits at the university. In the coming periods, we will continue to increase the international options where all students can reveal their potential in the best way and progress in line with their goals.”
