ISTANBUL (TR) - The flexible working model, which has become increasingly common in working life during the pandemic, has increased the demand with serviced offices. According to a survey conducted by a brand that provides shared office services, 3 out of 4 companies (77%) are preparing to make the flexible working model permanent. 56% of the managers participating in the survey state that they adopt the flexible working model, and 85% of them state that they will evaluate ready office spaces suitable for this model. Research on the office market also shows that flexible offices are at the center of their new era strategies, with the advantages they provide in terms of initial investment cost and operational expenses. Stating that warehouses act as a savior for companies that close their traditional offices by switching to serviced offices, Depo Palas CEO Ulaş Gümüşoğlu said, “The cost advantage offered by ready-to-use offices, which brings together ready-to-use solutions from fixtures to technological infrastructure, attracts companies. Companies prefer to keep their fixtures in warehouses while they switch to ready-made offices. When the cost of the serviced office and the warehouse are combined, it is not even half of a month's traditional office rent.”

Uncertainty drives demand

Stating that the uncertainty created by the pandemic has increased the warehouse demands of the companies, Depo Palas CEO Ulaş Gümüşoğlu said, “Companies do not want to put their office furniture on sale while they are heading towards the ready office. Warehouses offer a guarantee for companies against uncertainties. Today, companies that adopt a flexible working model with a serviced office want to secure their future by keeping their belongings in warehouses. Companies that take advantage of serviced offices, calculate all possibilities, and shelve their B plans for returning to the traditional office due to uncertainties.”

Companies seek trust in warehouse services

Ulaş Gümüşoğlu, CEO of Depo Palas, who mentioned that the search for trust is the determining factor in the warehouse selections of the companies, said, “Companies receive warehouse services not because they can't find a place for their belongings, but because they have the possibility to reuse them one day in the future. For this reason, companies specialized in this field are preferred in case of loss of goods, external factors such as humidity or the possibility of damage to the goods due to flooding or fire. For companies, it is of great importance to make a complete contract before delivering the goods, to receive an insured service, to see the physical conditions of the warehouse to be rented on site, and to details such as humidity, ambient temperature, camera system, sufficient space, and cleaning. As Depo Palas, we meet the expectations of companies in this direction with the new generation storage system we have developed by breaking new ground in Turkey. We secure the entire process from the delivery of the goods to the address with transportation and storage insurance policies.”
