Özgür Akdemir, the beloved voice of Turkish Folk Music, brings his new project "Özgür Akdemir - Live Performance" together with his fans. The project was prepared with the concept of live performance from the selected works in the concert recording organized by Ataşehir Municipality for support due to the pandemic process. While drawing attention to a process in which songs sung by computer-arranged voices are listened with today's popular music understanding, the artist will present the taste of real music to those who love it with live performance and recording.

Özgür Akdemir stated that he chose the release date of these pieces as his birthday present as October 27th. Emphasizing that he trusts his voice and stage, Özgür Akdemir will appear before music lovers with a live recording.

In spite of the songs that are played in a studio environment and come out with a clean sound; Akdemir presents a recording of his works performed live on stage accompanied by live instruments to music lovers and adds:

“We are not for people's money; we ask for applause!”

Özgür Akdemir, the strong voice of Turkish Folk Music, said about the project, “I am one of the artists who took the stage the most before the pandemic. I saw that many famous artists who talked about labor did not support their orchestra in the heavy situation of the music industry, which is one of the sectors that the pandemic process has significantly affected. I was shocked and saddened by this issue. That's why I didn't let my own orchestra friends disperse and we went through this process together with them. Now I want to be on the stage more willingly, more passionately. My longing for the stage and my love for art will never diminish. We demand people's applause, not their money.”

Özgür Akdemir's new project, in which he sang the anonymous pieces titled “Odam Kireç Tutmuyor, Gelin Oldun Karabelin Eline, Oy Gelin, Kalktı Göç Eyledi Avşar Elleri and Yekte” released under the Pigeon Music label, can be accessed on all digital platforms.
