ISTANBUL (TR) - Continuing commercial activities mainly through digital channels during the pandemic made the procurement processes of companies difficult. According to the research conducted by Gartner on the future of supply chain (The Future of Supply Chain), 98% of supply chain leaders think that the rate of working from home will increase in the next 5 years, which will force companies to digitize their supply processes. 79% predict that web and platform-based new business models will lead companies' supply processes after the pandemic, and 69% predict that companies that do not digitize their supply chain will lose customers in the next 5 years. Evaluating the results of the research, Univera Product Manager Tarık Dizer said, “The pandemic has made the digitalization of the supply chain inevitable for companies. Supply processes have become a part of their identities as well as the products and services offered by companies. This shows that the weight of new generation technologies in procurement processes will increase.”

High risk of error in warehouse and production management

Drawing attention to the fact that the digital management of every stage of the supply processes makes the activities of the companies sustainable, Dizer stated that the manual management of the shipment operations, which includes hundreds of products, increases the margin of error and causes serious financial losses to the companies. Dizer said, “Warehouse and production operations are one of the processes with the highest risk of error. With the StokBar solution included in our Pan-orama (P8) platform, which we have developed for sales, service and logistics business processes and whose 8th version has been published recently, we ensure that all processes of companies, from raw material supply to field sales operations, are managed digitally. By providing companies with a web-based and flexible warehouse and production management solution, we completely eliminate the problems that may occur.”

An integrated solution for warehouse and production processes

Emphasizing that many national and international companies prefer new generation technologies in order to ensure business continuity in production and warehouse management, Tarık Dizer cited the data they obtained from the field regarding the achievements of StokBar, where they offer an integrated solution in warehouse and production management. Dizer said, “With StokBar, we have achieved a 98% reduction in faulty product shipment, 97% in faulty product acceptance, and 68% reduction in product finding times with StokBar. On the other hand, we found that there was an increase of 71% in the traceability of the finished product, 42% in the follow-up of the product and raw material storage conditions, and 22% in the daily shipping capacity. In production processes, we reduced raw material waiting times by 60%. On a supplier basis, we achieved an increase of 76% in material and lot traceability, 70% in raw material traceability, 68% in instant production and consumption monitoring, and 57% in the follow-up of aging, incubation and quarantine periods. These data constitute an important resource regarding the efficiency that StokBar offers to companies.”

Can be customized according to needs

Stating that with StokBar, companies can customize the system by commissioning different functions according to the personnel who take on different tasks in operations and the departments used, Dizer said, “StokBar makes it possible for companies to manage their warehouse and production processes in the fastest and most efficient way. With IoT sensors, companies can instantly control the forklifts they use in warehouse processes, by following the data in production or the required feature of any object they want"
