High numbers of coronavirus cases in countries such as the UK and Ireland, which are most preferred in foreign language education, have led student candidates to choose safe countries that are entering the process of normalization. Malta came at the top of these. The country, which will start face-to-face education in language schools in June, will also define vouchers up to 300 Euros per person for students who choose Malta for education.

İSTANBUL (TR) - The importance of English language proficiency is increasing day by day both in academia and business life. Language schools abroad are preferred by those who want to reach professional competence by using the language effectively. While the coronavirus tables of countries have become a decisive criterion in school selection due to the pandemic, Malta, which has reached the best performance among EU members by pulling the daily number of cases to the 200-250 band with the measures taken recently, stands out as a safe destination. According to the statement made by MaltaVista, a Malta-based educational technologies and consultancy company, face-to-face education will begin in language schools in June, and a total budget of 1 million Euros has been allocated to encourage students who want to attend language education.

Vouchers up to 300 euros per student can be defined

Emphasizing that students who want to benefit from the support should pre-register as soon as possible, MaltaVista General Manager Kubilay Güler said, “This budget will be distributed as coupons to students who will travel to Malta for education and can be used in markets, shops and restaurants that are sensitive to the measures during the pandemic. Students who will study at any language school in Malta for at least 15 days will be able to benefit from the coupons. The value of the coupons calculated over 10 Euros per day will increase up to 300 Euros for students who have an education plan longer than 30 days.”

There is no quarantine measures for students from Turkey

Stating that they, as MaltaVista, guided student candidates throughout the whole process, Güler said, “Malta is currently in a process where social life is starting to return to normal. Although organizations such as festivals, which are organized with the participation of a large number of people, have not yet been held, face-to-face education started in language schools as of June, restaurants, cafes, movie theaters, pools and sports halls continue their activities within the scope of measures, especially student candidates in our country, who are still in an intense struggle with the epidemic. It is one of the most important reasons for preference. Moreover, since Turkey is on the list named as "Amber List" by Malta, a PCR test with negative results in the last 72 hours before the trip is sufficient for entering the country. There is no quarantine measures for students. We, as MaltaVista, support students at all stages such as benefiting from language school promotions, pre-registration, completing visa processes and benefiting from coupons.”
