İSTANBUL (TR) - The coronavirus pandemic, which the world has been fighting for more than a year, continues to change the balance in business life. Many factors, such as the spread of remote work, the deterioration of the work-life balance, are reshaping the career prospects of employees. According to a study conducted by Kaspersky, 23% of employees in Turkey consider changing jobs during the pandemic, while the main reasons include higher income expectations and the need for a more valuable and meaningful role immediately after the work-life balance, with 29%. Stating that when the young population in our country and the ability to adapt to new technologies came together, an extremely favorable climate emerged for entrepreneurship, the online education platform Courself.co Founder Raif Kamacı said, “Especially with the pandemic, expectations from business life have also changed. "As the search for meaning increases, the evolving digital tools make it easier for white-collar workers who want to start their own business to take action.”

First choice of those who want to start their own business is e-commerce and e-export

“Those who find their needs from meeting to shopping, from education to socialization on digital have realized that taking bold steps is not as troublesome as before, and they have turned to establish their own businesses using digital infrastructures. The acceleration experienced in e-commerce during the pandemic process led to the emergence of many business ideas in this field.” Kamacı said and added that the first choice of those who want to start their own business is e-commerce and e-export. Noting that the share of e-commerce in total trade, which was 8.1 percent at the beginning of 2019, approached 20 percent by the end of 2020 and continued to increase in 2021, Kamacı continued as follows: “We observed a 220% increase in the number of those who want to receive online training in the fields of e-commerce and e-export compared to the pre-pandemic and we started a project called "Global Trade Training" in order to support entrepreneur candidates.”

“Our goal is to pave the way for Turkish entrepreneurs”

Mentioning that they provide online training in many areas such as payment infrastructures, stockless sales and advertising, Raif Kamacı said, “We know that there are obstacles to overcome in e-export in our country. In this context, he has been telling the system to entrepreneur candidates since 2017; We support the solution of their needs such as receiving payment, branding and advertising abroad. We are bringing new competencies to entrepreneur candidates in many areas from dropshipping systems to cargo deals, from advertising training to payment infrastructures. Our aim is to open the way for Turkish entrepreneurs.”
