According to the survey titled “The Impact of the COVID Crisis on the Legal Sector” prepared by Wolters Kluwer, 56% of law firms in Europe stated that their need for smart technology solutions has increased during the pandemic process. The areas where they wanted to invest in technology were e-signature with 63%, followed by e-meeting and e-voting management with 46%, document and contract workflow management with 40%, workflow management and process automation with 34%. On the other hand, 52% of law firms said that they will work from home more in the upcoming period, 66% will develop digital communication methods with their customers and 41% expect the virtual hearings to accelerate in the future.
