Spring Professional, a technology and digital-focused recruitment consulting company that is taking action to focus on the new normals of the professional ecosystem, conducted a survey study that revealed the impact of the Covid-19 on the business world in our country and the strategies of business leaders for business continuity and competitiveness. In a study of more than 400 participants, consisting of managers and opinion leaders of important companies in Turkey, it was noted that the short-term strategy prioritized in the period after the pandemic is cost optimization with 66.2%. 40.7% of respondents said their priority was the transition to cloud structure and the process of strengthening the data and disaster center, while 27% expressed an opinion on cybersecurity.

Lack of information technologies was most felt during the pandemic process

Another remarkable point revealed by Spring Professional, the brand of Adecco Turkey group of companies in this field, was the investment areas that were missing during the pandemic. A wide audience of 55.9% answered the question “Which department would you most like to have invested in during the pandemic?” in the survey. It was followed by e-commerce with 37.7%, human resources with 23% and supply chain with 19.2%. In the survey, the question about the sectors that will gain the most momentum in the Covid-19 process was answered by 78.9% of e-commerce, 77% of it, 55.4% of health sector and 49% of pharmaceutical sector.

The focus of investment has been digital transformation, recruitment priorities have changed

According to the results of the survey, long-term strategies included strengthening information technologies and digital processes, digitalization and optimization of the supply chain, strengthening and maintaining the data and disaster center, taking the necessary steps to transition to e-commerce, using artificial intelligence technologies to strengthen the customer experience, and focusing on cybersecurity. The survey study found that digital transformation targets were also effective in recruitment processes. 42% of respondents said emotional intelligence and management skills were given priority in their recruitment competencies during and after the Covid-19 process.

The need for tech talent is growing
